Ibiza is more than just a hotspot for the trendy, those in search of amazing nightlife and those who fancy partying till dawn.  Ibiza is home to some of the most beautiful beaches you could imagine.  Here is just a brief insight into some of the best beaches Ibiza has to offer.

Cala Llentrisca

This often deserted beach is home to a rickety old jetty.  The perfect place to sit, with your legs dangling in the water, whiling away the hours.  Ideal for a few hours of reflection.  Watch from the jetty as the fishermen take their boats out to claim their catch.

Es Portitxol

A tear-drop shaped beach that has a truly stunning viewpoint.  Looking as if it has been simply sliced out of the cliffs, the beach is a hotspot for fishermen.  It is here that they come to catch up and to launch and store their boats. If you can manage the climb then make sure you hike up the cliff.  It really is worth the sweat and tears for the view alone.

Cala Llarga

The most southernly beach on the island of Ibiza.  It is well hidden and quite secret.  Perfect for diving and jumping into the sea, if you are so inclined.  The journey along the winding roads to Cala Llarga is pretty spectacular too.  It is here that you can see the other Balearic island of Formentera in the distance.

Agua Blanca

This beach is so secret and secluded that you will need to swim to it.  Just a short swim mind you, but you will get wet none the less.  If you have had a heavy night of partying then this is the beach for you.  The gentle sound of the waves filtering in and out of the surrounding caves will rock you to sleep.  There is also a restaurant here called Restaurante Aguas Blancas.  So, if you need a coffee or two to pep you up then a short stroll will have you refueled in no time.

Ibiza has some outstanding hidden treasures.  Ask around, do some research and make sure you check at least one of them out.  You won’t be disappointed.  If you are looking for a romantic hotspot or a sunset viewing point then any of the above beaches will not let you down.
